SMSgt Goolbsy Retiring

After spending 27 years on active duty and 6 years at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, California, where he became one of AFJROTC Outstanding Instructor, SMSgt Goolsby arrived in DoDEA Europe at Ramstein High School in 2008. After a year, he transferred to AFNorth International School. In 2012 he transferred to Bitburg High School before the corps later moved from Bitburg HS to Spangdahlem (temporary HS) before landing here.

During his tenure as JROTC Instructor, SMSgt Goolsby has also served as varsity basketball coach (earning three championships), varsity tennis coach, and varsity baseball coach at AFNorth and Bitburg high schools. Additionally, during his tenure in DoDEA Europe, SMSgt Goolsby has won 3 Germany State Championships (Rheinland Pfalz) as a volunteer coach for girls and boys local club teams.

He plans to remain active in sports during retirement and to try and keep up with his 4 wonderful grandchildren here in Germany.
