DoDEA Europe is proud to celebrate the Month of the Military Child (MoMC) across 64 schools in 8 countries, shining a spotlight on the strength, resilience, and courage of military-connected children. This month, our schools are hosting a wide range of events that include clap-ins, purple shirt days, interactive activities, performances by school bands, and more — all aimed at recognizing the vital role military children play in supporting their families and communities.
DoDEA Europe has successfully integrated wristwatch heart rate monitor (HRM) technology into high school physical education (PE) classes across Europe. This initiative highlights a strong collaboration among IT specialists, educational technologists (ETs), instructional systems specialists (ISS), and teacher support networks through job-alike Focus Collaboration Time (FCT).
The students were responsible for creating the script, directing camera shots and transitions, and editing the final video. This hands-on experience sharpened their technical abilities and provided valuable lessons in professional client communication and collaboration.
Spangdahlem High School students have taken a proactive step to support their peers by creating a powerful public service announcement (PSA) as part of their Video Communications 3 class.
